Having had 20 years expwerience in the industry myself, I feel vindicated with my thoughts on varying performances every time Dicko and Mark make their comments. Although sometimes harsh for the competitors to hear, they concur almost verbatim with my own decisions on this or that performance.
I can't believe I am actually making my thoughts public here but when I heard Marcia's comments about Chanel performance on the night of Sunday the 3rd of October, I felt compelled to voice my opinion.
The kd lang number Chanel delivered was exquisite. I couldn't believe my ears when Marcia's obvious acerbic tounge started wagging. Yes, Marcia, I agree, Chanel has not delivered the best performances over the past couple of weeks and, like many others I assume, this has been diappointing. She has obvious talents in so many areas and perhaps it is this forum that is not suitable, not her performances.
From the start, there was always something utterly disarming and charming about Chanel and, no, I am not under "her spell".
Marcia, your comments to other performers, whom Dicko and Mark actually are incredibly accurate with comments such as "You're just being lazy" or whatever......and all you can do is say " well you go girlfriend" and "that was a fine performance" etc etc at times are such a crock. I don't believe you are doing these performers ANY service or favours what so ever.
Why you would then choose to be so .......nasty.....bitchy.....call it what you will to Chanel on Sunday night, after one of her best performances to date, is beyond me.
So whoever posted the "does anyone else get the feeling Marcia doesn't like Chanel" email - Oh, yes, I get that feeling too.
I am not voting in this competition.
Mark and Dicko - top marks for your comments. They are not only accurate they are also invaluable to the performers if they can get over their egos to listen -(falsely fed by the said Miss Marcia) - well done.
Marcia get off the fence and start to offer these kids some constructive criticism - you aren't doing them any favours at all. I believe that at the first stages of the competition, you tempered some of the guys more cutting comments and well done you but, now, you wasting valuable opportunities to point the copetitors in the right direction.
