Mark Holden predicted that Anthony would have a popstar's career (spectacular but short) and that songs for his album would be readily available as he sings mainstream pop music.
He said that Casey's career would be a long one. Her first album would work but it would be the second one that would be great.
So far, it looks as though that is how it will turn out.

I want to know where all these Anthony fans (who are making him more successful on the charts than Casey is) were when the voting for the Australian Idol was taking place... because apparently he's much more popular than she is, but obviously not popular enough to win a simple election on a two party-preferred basis.

Exactly. I think once she releases a decent song as a single (such as Flow or Shine) interest in her album will pick up. The basic reason singles are released is to promote the album, after all.

hahhaha reading this topic just made me laugh.... i think (correct me if i'm wrong) the purpose of this threat was to say that anthony had been placed no.1 on the aria charts and casey at number 2..... i don't see how this has to do with getting over that casey won australian idol and that she is the real winner....i don't think anyone really disputed that fact.... and he didn't lose australian idol! he came second!!!!!  as for anthony having no talent... hahah well....i don't know what you people have been listening to!!! and Anthony will most definitely have a long lasting career because his fans...which by the way are more than just 13 year olds... support him every step of the way and thats what true fans do! and the 13 year old fan thing is just getting a bit over rated!!! hahah it just shows that casey fans can't come up with anything else orignal to say about anthony fans! |

Who says we're all Casey fans. I'm a "Chanel fan" if I need a label..I'm just calling this as it is! If someone posted a "Well done Anthony on your number 1 single" thread, no one would care...it's the "Haha Casey, Anthony beat you!" threads that piss people off. |

Posts about Anthonys fans being 13 year olds or not appreciating him for his music are inevitable when people post threads such as this though. I mean, they don't exactly denote maturity or musical appreciation- its all about popularity. (For instance, why would anyone stockpile copies of Anthonys single, if all they were concerned about was the guys music?) As I said before, if someone posted a thread congratulating Anthony on his number 1, it would be a different matter, and I don't see why anyone would have grounds to complain. But gloating about how he beat Casey is rude, and I think people have a basis to defend that. Yeah, people who gloated when Casey won were equally as rude...which is why Anthony's fans should be the bigger people and behave gracefully. Let the competition go already. Anthony may have "won" in the charts this week, but as you say yourself...that has nothing to do with who won Australian Idol. The competition between he and Casey is over...yet here Anthony's fan are gloating about it to "Casey fans"? |

I feel sorry for Casey. She doesn't have it. How awful to be Aussie Idol and be beaten by the runnerup and have your debut album not make number one in the same week. And that awful singing on carols night. Yeah she won Idol but that's over, now she's losing the war. Won the battle and losing the war. Be RIP this time next year. Anthony should have won. Casey is grossly overweight, smokes at 16, speaks crap and sings crap. Even her fans don't buy her music.
