Simone, Alice signed on as a troll. From what I gather, she just turned up out of nowhere, abusing Casey continuously. There's a line between criticism and plain abuse and it lies in the words you use. Alice was out to insult Casey, plain and simple, and she did it in a malicious way.
Trolls don't get the same treatment as people who have different views but who manage to express them in a non-abusive way. The latter get the respect they deserve, the former just get what they deserve.
Gotta say for Alice though, that when she calmed down and started posting her reasons for the dislike, I began to understand where she was coming from. If she'd started off posting in a rational way, she would not have been treated the same way, nor would her posts have been deleted.
However, she chose to post junk like "Casey is a fat blob" (continuously). That's just asking for trouble. If you can't respect others, who's going to bother respecting you?

Alice,
We have no problem with you or anyone else for that matter, stating your opinion/s on AI2. However, if we feel that it is inappropriate then we delete it.
With the number of people who have complained both members and guests, suggests to me that it isn't only the Mods who have a problem with what you are posting.

I think you missed the point. All along I paralled what I said about Casey to what was said about Courtney. It's like it was okay for Courtney to be condemned because of his weight, attitude and to a point gender. It was a Courtney post that I focused on firstly today. Yet when Casey was the object of like-minded criticism it was an affront.
I don't think my posts were sweetness and light but I tried not repeat the exact phrasing. So it's an ufair representation to say I said the blob thing over and over and over. Though I did say the blob thing - once. I meant it too. She so annoyed me getting through when she isn't as good.

I realise you've mentioned on numerous occasions that you were merely repeating what Mark Holden said about Courtney. I had a problem with the heading you used for your first post and as you are a guest, we couldn't ask you to change it, so had to delete the thread. Personally I don't find it offensive etc. but others posters do. I still don't know where you got the idea that we play 'favourites' Have you seen the guest GoAnthony? We tolerate that because (although maybe a little over the top ) it may annoy people, but it doesn't offend.

Oops - then sorry, Alice. I got the impression that was all you were posting (I wasn't around when it began).
I understand the frustration you feel when you think someone not-very-good gets through... but believe it or not, some of us really do like Casey. Well, I do. And her voice got to me first, but then I started liking her because she seemed like a sweet kid. But the voice came first. And I've never felt inclined to vote for her out of sympathy.
If you thought the judges/producers are treating Courtney unfairly and subversively, shouldn't your anger be directed at them? Casey has nothing to do with it - she doesn't control how they treat her. And she also hasn't capitalised on it either. You don't hear her continually stressing that she's 16, nor have we heard an unprompted peep about her life.
As for the Courtney abuse that you feel people have been getting away with on this board.. I guess I haven't noticed it too much personally, but that's because I generally am not interested in the Courtney threads (sorry- different tastes). Again, that's not Casey's fault so I don't see why she should be attacked for it. If you do have a problem with it, there's the feedback section to post your worries in. But yeah, doing exactly what you're objecting to, even to make a point, isn't helping the impression people have of you.

PS - I think I should add that I'm not a mod, nor do I actually know how they work.. but this is an outsider's view of the situation.
