I'm out of the clique, then? Well sort of ....sorry..... It's great! Zeds is the Queen of misspelt Scatorgories. Remember to bring a plate this week guys, its a shared luncheon. Kebabs, or course, will already be provided. Can I bring a friend? She'll bring some wine. Friendly is the operative word - not aggressive. TOOOO right!

I've been a member under a different name, and watched you all freeze anyone out who doesn't fit into your long established group It's like starting a new job, and all the oldies are standing around the water cooler, and unless you have the same sense of humour, or conversation you'll be ignored until you conform I'm going to have to disagree with your analysis. I'm new, I'm askew (in so many ways) and yet I haven't been frozen out (much). I would say this is one of the friendlier boards I've been too, and as long as you're not a twit poster here (in my limited time here) you'll be fairly well accepted (even if you overuse parenthesis).

Umm, on analysing my posts since coming home, I've decided I am making way too much of this issue and am now leaving to get some counselling
(I never had any friends in school either)

Umm 1124 posts - yes that's new Two to three months isn't a particularly long time? It's just I have no life. When I came here there had been a group of posters here who had known each other for a while, but I didn't ever really feel alienated by them or at risk of ostracisation. Yes, there are some good friends here. If you're not intimidated by the closeness of some of the posters then you should have no problem whatsoever.

Any board you visit has long term members that know each other pretty well. Visit a few and you'll see it. In fact many of us here actually speak to each other on the phone reguarly.... and many have actually met. I look at this place as another medium for friendships. That's life. You cannot get on with everyone you meet, and if you look at it as having to "conform" well that's your problem. BTW, your posts have not been aggresive and that's the sort of thing I like I'd be interested to know who you were in a "previous life" ;D

Unfortunately I just don't have the time to try and make those connections For me It's a once a week thing - I have work, study and children and I try to have non virtual friends Glad it's working for you

So much for the "your posts have not been aggressive" thing.
