I think you may have apoint. R*B is much better suited to America than Australia, they'd lap him up.
Shannon's popularity is that he followed the true blue style. I've noticed Robbie Williams has made himself 'England's own' based on his lack of success in America.
A niche is really important,

I think at the end of the day Guy tortures every song he sings. America has enough of their own artists already doing that. I reckon Shannon would have a better chance breaking into the Rock/Country market.

interestingly I find Guy and Shannon are almost caricatures, and taking them as serious musical artist is difficult.
Like I always pronounce 'Shannon Noll' in that really 'strine' type way and imagine him grinning and thumb upping. With Guy I always imagine a Koala bear singing the Sound of Music.
If I think Dylan, I think awesomeness. But to be fair on the flip side, I think Mick Jagger I think huge lips and tongue.
Was I trying to make a point here? ah well.

When I think of Dylan I think of an arrogant troll full of his own self-importance.

I'm noticing a trend. As the Idol shows get shorter the podcast is getting longer. Soon we'll have hour-long Idol programs and hour-and-a-half podcasts analysing the shows.

Yes I've noticed the same thing. So far I'm agreeing with Kram on most things.

Well it's difficult to agree with Ganesha even when he's right.

I was listening to the latest one yesterday at work, and wandered off half way through, and though oh hang on I'm listening to Ganesha and Kram. So I think the attention span was tested.
Now we know that Ganesha has the attention span of a goldfish, so he might take heed at this advice.
Keep up the good work, but consider your audiences' attention spans.

I never saw this until today. Dylan is waaaaaaaay too old and decrepit for the likes of me. Besides, I have a better vocabulary.

And if you're listening on a computer the attention span is even shorter. Love your work but you need to cut to the chase sooner.

When I think of Dylan I think of an arrogant troll full of his own self-importance. Given his various attempts to make his music unmarketable so as to turn the adoring public away from him and to stop naming him as "the voice of the generation", I argue that you know little of Dylan the man.

GIven the longer episodes have been the biggest downloads i think i will stick to what works. In fact we are growing every week and it appears the contestants have been listening in too. I would rather get my points across and take time with it. Im sick of everything being about hurrying. Like myself, i tend to go back and listen to podcasts more than once so it really doesnt bother me if people dont listen all the way through. The beauty of i-tunes is that it picks up from where you left off.
