Apart from writing which is basically a form of communication, where women excel, men have the ability to think in abstract terms more so than women.
Spatial conceptualisation I believe is the term.
List one or more of the areas where clearly men are superior.

Most scientists think there's no real difference between men and women when it comes to total intelligence. It's just possible that our brains have evolved separately to meet the demands of our environment.

I don't think giving birth is creation. It's birthing a creation.

List one or more of the areas where clearly men are superior. You can't dismiss writing as being basically communication. It's more than that. It's imagination, it's art, it's power, it's enduring, it's very creative. One area men as a group seem to show superiority in is fixing things. Like cars and fridges. I would say some men have a mechanical bent. Climbing on to the roof and clearing out the gutter is another. They seem to be less scared or less likely to show fear of heights.

Another one. Apparently men are more prone to creating gas than women.

Why is Sirius always bringing up men vs women topics? That's a good question and I'm not satisfied that Sirius' explanation that it is because it is a female forum is logical. You'll need to elaborate further. Are men more creative? Historically yes, but there have been mitigating social conditions. Art requires spatial abilities and women have displayed talent in this area. However, it has been acceptable for women to engage in literature and art have for some time now, although compared with the time in which men have had opportunity to make their mark, it's been a mere tick of the clock. George Eliot had to take on a male pseudonym to sell her books. The Brontes' initially took on male names too. JK Rowling (Harry Potter) had to use her intials so that boys would be more likely to buy her books. Women still have to combat prejudice. In other creative areas, such as architecture, women have not had time to really establish themselves. What you need to do Sirius, is give birth. This is the absolute ultimate in creativity. I knew, after my babies were born, that nothing, not even an academy award or a Noble prize would equal that feeling of achievement that comes from bringing forth life. Dear oh dear, you fell for it hook line and sinker. Childbith has got bugger all to do with the question as nor does the male role either. I beat you to the punch on Authors . As for painters I suppose you would uphold Grandma Moses cutesy rubbish as an example. Ok I'll start. where is your female Beethoven?

Like Faraday perhaps or Edison. Actually writing does require abstract ability, but that only deepens the mystery. Women are in general better communicators, after all they get enough practise.

Of course they have you Gatherer you. ;D I was going to write something incredibly rude and decided I wasn't going to be baited by you, so I copied and pasted something I was reading about spacial ability. I scored very highly in it during my psychometric tests and the examiner said it was unusual for a woman to do so. I hit top 5% in numeracy and it suggested for a career I should go into IT. Great...........
