Missy Higgins "The Special Two" I finally caught up to the rest of the world and bought her album earlier this week. it's great! I absolutely love that song and love the album! At the moment I'm listening to "Firecracker" by Ryan Adams ;D

Isnt Ryan a frustrating one, Love Is Hell and Rock and Roll are both HUGE disappointments to me. His first solo album is still the best.

I'd heard about Ryan Adams from my Uncle in Canada and a few other people (from another forum) thought that I'd like him, so when I saw his "Gold" album on sale I bought it (yesterday).
I think it's pretty good (although I haven't heard any of his other stuff). I hear he does a pretty damn good version of "Wonderwall" by Oasis. Is that on the "Love Is Hell" album?

I love Wonderwall and it has been covered too much IMO. I've heard his version of it is good too, but haven't listened to it as yet.
In fact Oasis were a class act at one time, what happened? They totally lost it very quickly.

Tom Waits - Downtown Train
Did anyone catch last week's episode of Lost? They had flashbacks of Charlie's time in a one-album wonder British pop-rock band which he formed with his brother, Liam, with whom he constantly bickered. Charlie wrote the songs and Liam sang them.
It was a truly terrible episode: easily the worst so far, and the parallels were horrifically not subtle.

None of Lost has been good, but I keep watching simply cause it's something to talk about the next day.

I am a fan of the show, purely for the fact that it is something actually different on television. But I think it has gone downhill a bit after the first two awesome episodes, especially the character of Locke: once wise and mysterious now smarmy and annoying. I'm still lovin' Lost. I like the fact that all the characters were pretty lost before they even crashed on the island.

I recommend watching it, yeah.
There have been other good episodes, just the last one was not one of them.

They totally lost it very quickly. I used to really dislike Oasis, but now I actually quite like them, heh... I went through this stage of loving UK rock groups, like Blur and Supergrass, LOL... I suppose I could include Oasis in that list too, except I haven't bought one of their albums to add to my extensive CD collection
