I'm glad that Anthony didn't win, he always think he's invincible in the whole competition, so as his fans think he's very invincible and his fans thought they are superior than everyone because Anthony has a very great chance to win. I hate that type of attitude and I hate to see Anthony's invincible mood (He looks like that he though he's 100% gonna win it) Also Many Anthony fans loves Anthony because on the looks, but not on the talents. I heard that "Anthony is soooo hot" many times but not on his voice. this is not beauty competition. Lastly, the idol single "Listen with your heart", he didn't do it very well. I just heard flat sounds gone while Casey put her mood and emphasis the tune in. And Casey did way better than Anthony. If Anthony won and release that single, he would do it badly. And my Conclusion is that it's good for Anthony not win and it taught him and his crazy fans a lesson that no one is invincible and don't be too proud that annoying us and majpority of Australia.

I think Australians also suffer from 'Tall Poppy Syndrome' and like to back the underdog. After I saw the 'Today/Tonight' special on Anthony and read newspaper articles on "Why Anthony Can't Lost Idol" I thought, "those news items just lost the competition for him". It was similar to this year's BB, Ryan was probably the favourite for a while, but the second people found out his mates and Dreamworld were selling his 'MLS' merchandise to raise money to vote for Ryan, he got evicted. **sigh** We Australians are a weird and wonderous bunch PS. After hearing "Listen With Your Heart" twice this afternoon, I'm off to buy copy when I can find the time

Well Casey may have won Idol, but the proof is in the record sales and as you know Anthony has outsold Casey 2 to 1, and he has also sold more singles then Guy. So yes we Anthony fans were upset that he lost but he is the real winner just like Shannon was last year.

You better wait till anthony does a follow up single to judge how well he is doing. I think "like me" most australians had not heard of The Prayer and just wanted to get that song more than buy Anthony's new single.

That's a good point, although I had heard "The Prayer by Andrea Bocelli & Celine Dion (Dad likes Andrea and my sister likes Celine) and think Anthony did a wonderful job of it.
