How much do the judges really influence us? I'm wondering because I often find that I haven't quite made up my mind before I hear their verdicts and opinions and sometimes they come up with something I didn't notice. So maybe unbeknownst to myself they are having an effect on me. Hmmmmm!!

I like to hear what they think of the performances, but in the end, if I like what I hear, I'll vote.

I think they influenced voters the first time round (last season) but this time, I think the public have realised (thank God) that they have their own opinions and views.

I didnt think that the judges opinion influenced the voting at all, but have u noticed that everytime Dicko rubbishes a performance, that contestant is in the bottom three. Ricki Lee for eg. She wasnt that bad, in fact she sang really well so why did she get the boot last night? Now what have we got left? ?

I don't think the judges remarks make too much difference, at least I hope not. It is the voting system that is the true yardstick. The revenue for the show comes from the voting, so you are encouraged to make multiple votes. If you really want to make a singer the "Idol" all you have to do is use your credit card to the max. if off course you can afford to. On the otherhand with one vote per person, the winner would automatically be the country's most popular performer, needless to say, the show would be in the red due to lack of revenue. It would be interesting to see the viewing numbers for a show, and then compare that to the total number of votes for all singers.Your only as good as your multiple voters, I really don't think single votes can keep a singer afloat. Just my opinion.

His opinion may influence the voters, the opinions of Mark and especially Marcia wouldn't make any difference.
