Gamblers are such a reactive lot. I think shows such as these are the most risky of things to gamble on because they are so unpredicatable. For example, Haley was consistently in the bottom three and made it to the top four - that could happen to Lavina. Ricki Lee was hot favourite and booted out midway. Kate was never the favourite and won it. I think people who bet on these things are mad.

It is more accurate as a guide as time goes by of course. But it already reflects Lisa and Bobby's changing popularity.

latest odds. Yikes!!! ............................................................................ FLYNN, Bobby 3.75 GEYER, Dean 4.00 LEITH, Damien 6.50 MITCHELL, Lisa 7.00 MURPHY, Chris 10.00 DERRY, Reigan 11.00 MAUBOY, Jessica 13.00 MUSCAT, Ricky 17.00 MUTTON, Guy 21.00 KEOUGH, Klancie 26.00 WILLIAMS, Lavina 26.00 I can't believe Bobby has jumped so high. He's not even slightly enjoyable. Please let's not have another sympathy winner. A 'He's-alternative-looking-and-sings-off-key-but-ain't-that-different winner.

I would think Bobby is a tall poppy, not a potential sympathy winner. All he's got so far is adulation from the judges. His fans seem to comprise the more 'intellectual' listener of music. (notice the ironic commas) No underpriviliged background, so far no musical disasters, what do we have to feel sorry for him for?
Bobby is high because he got two spot on performances in a row - from the judges' perspective at least and even though he's funny looking he's still safely in the comp. He's also high because the previous highs have copped some criticism from the judges in the last round and this has pushed him up.

Actually he is attracting a broad range of fans. I would have thought it be just the likes of me however school kids, mainstream listeners, the older group, are all loving him.

We feel sorry for him because he's not Dean Geyer good looking and because he sings like a scalded cat. We always feel sorry for the strange ones.

I'm allowed my opinion. If you think people vote for only talent reasons, you're stupid.

I didn't say people only voted for talent reasons. All I say is that they don't only vote for sympathy reasons. They vote for lots of different reasons, usually a combination.

You were trying to grandstand about it with your Bobby fan survey bullshit. What is with that? Why can't yoo fight your own battles?

You have double standards Mary. You say you are entitled to your opinion but you dismiss mine. I thought the mock survey was a light hearted response. That was the spirit in which it was intended anyway. Sorry if it offended.
