I haven't visited Ganesha's site. He has a tendency to dislike a performer based on looks and race. Or like them based on looks and race. This year he hates Dean and will hate him no matter what he does. How can he have credibility as a music snob when his biases are so shallow? I agree with Bazza here. Ganesha has a predetermined destiny for Dean and Bobby and anything he writes is to support that.

Yes but that's what makes him so amusing.

Thanks guys.
There is never any point trying to prove to people who and what you are about, why the hell should you!
As for Dean, well if he does anything noteworthy i will be more than happy to praise him, i actually liked his audition song, it was catchy. It was all down hill after that.
Actually the new Divine Comedy album has the most hilarious song called - I dont want to die a virgin, i keep thinking of Dean and Guy every time i hear it.

Its really good, i havent given it enough listens yet, the last album was slow to grow on me and now i adore it. His lyrics are still as strong and witty as ever.

It's difficult to take someone's opinion about a person, site or podcast seriously when the person doing the accusing hasn't even bothered to look or listen before making judgement. Empty chatter with no purpose

d, if you're referring to me just say so. My comments about Ganesha are to do with his prejudices he shares here and my association with him since AI one. He gets a pet hate, be it Shannon or Dean (note good looking, likeable men) and he continues that hate. That's fine, except Ganesha pretends he's basing it on a fair critique of their musical talent, when he's the same shallow fan the rest of us are. If Ganesha had credibility he'd be assessing Klancie, Ricky and Bobby every chance he gets on this board too.

It was clear I was referring to you I didn't think it was necessary to call you by name. I can't comment on the validity of his critiques since I haven't watched any of the show (I'm still away) but it seems a bit silly to call names because a podcast is not impartial, partly because if you haven't actually heard it I don't know how know for sure what it says and partly because podcasts like blogs have bias inherent in them. My impression was that he is only giving his opinion based on musical critique not pretending to be impartial- the goth mummy comments being an example.

Spot on DHM, actually i try to be fair on the Podcast, i love being shocked and surprised by people i dislike as singers, Jessica was one, she made a startling change a few weeks in. On the other hand, it is equally important to be a little biased and cheeky, otherwise you lose peoples interest very quickly. Thats why the Podcast works, Kram takes me to task if he thinks im being unfair, and he does that with his words and his mind. I am not a fan of Millsy, Noll and Dean because i dont like them as singers. Also I think there are a number of guys over the last few years much more attractive than them. Plus if all i do is bag a singer with no justification why would people keep listening? Dang dhm you are missing out this year, its been fantastic viewing.

Yes I know, I've watched a little of Canadian idol but it's not really the same. I'll be back in three weeks- will it still be on then?

If anyone is interested this weeks Podcast features myself and Kram doing an original rap song, possibly the greatest rap ever. We have made a competition of it against MC Anzak who was in auditions. He has allowed us to play his new single.
