**whispers** I like Marty... They've got quite a good bunch of singers this year, I only wish I could be bothered watching more of it. I hope Ben and Matt do well and Tarasei (sp?) for the chickies

I'm sorry, but what the F**K! is wrong with the voting public?
I guess I shouldn't talk, I don't vote at all, but that's because I'd rather spend my money on important things like, y'know, actual phone calls and text messages to friends, LOL (that and my favourite has gone so what's the point in starting?)
But clearly Marty does NOT want to be there. It just seems so unfair to the contestants who do...
Hah someone needs to get a screencap of Daniel and Natalie's expressions of utter shock - that cracked me up.
I did laugh at Matt being there though, hopefully that'll shake him up a bit.
But jeez...
Aah well.

What a bummer. I had Ben pegged to win. I can't imagine who's voting for Marty.
In a perverse sort of way, it was funny seeing the two golden boys in the bottom 3 though. Ben didn't look too disappointed about going. Matt looked upset. He's probably more suited to winning AI anyway, being the most conventional of the two.

I guess the positive thing to come from this is that Ben is still very young so he has years ahead of him to improve more and more, and he'll at least have more freedom of choice if (sorry, WHEN) a record deal comes his way. Seems to be a trend that while some Idol winners do do well, a lot of the Idol "rejects" come out doing just as well, if not better (with the most obvious exception of Kelly Clarkson, but I'm just going by Australia and not the international versions). Makes a bit of a mockery out of the whole concept really. The overall winner has to sing some cruddy ballad (Oh pleeeeease can this years winning single be upbeat and funky?) and release an album so quickly there's probably next to no chance of them having much input in what goes on there... While the "losers" can still be offered deals or picked up somewhere along the line later on and have the time they need to create something brilliant. Unless it's all going to be different now. I didn't watch Idol last season so I don't really know what happened there. Damien Leith seems pretty down to earth and cool though. I guess it's only the first released album that isn't so great, whereas everything after that can be a great improvement. I dunno - you've either got it or you don't And in the end it's all down to preferences, rah rah rah. *presses post before pointlessly rambling on even more*

It's easier for the winners now. The recent Damien album is his first so he's had quite a few months to work on it. The first album, 'The Winner's Journey' was just a compilation of the songs he did on Idol. BUT, although 'The Winner's Journey' was a huge success, so far Damien's album hasn't matched the sales of previous winner's first albums. And, his winner's single didn't sell as well as the others either. So, there appears to be a downward trend re. the success of Idol winners cd sales. Guy was lucky to be first. Each subsequent winner has sold less than the winner of the year before if you don't count 'The Winner's Journey'.

Hmm... and there's most likely a lack of interest from people as the show's gone on as well. It's not "new" and "exciting" anymore, well, no where near as much as the first show anyway.
With Guy there was a bit more hype to be caught up in. But now... not so much. And I haven't bought his latest album, I didn't care much for the songs, heh.

Well I was initially gutted. It makes no sense. He was the best of the by far.
I watched in sheer amazement, sent a text to TQ (FUCK!).
Got angry, then realised, ah well, boring from now on, one door shuts another opens in Ben's case. He will win ultimately by being the shock exit.
The bottom two were what I'd thought were to be the final two, the rest are blandness itself, so no point in contuining.
I did feel sorry for Marty though. It is not his fault how the public vote, he's uncomfortable and being honest. He has an interesting tone to his voice at least, he's just no performer.
So bye bye little grey board. See the rest on facebook.

Bye again.
I'll probably stick around til the end providing there's something to respond to.
Marty has the NSW coast voting for him. What a laugh if he won. Natalie is the only one left that I like.

FaceBook? That's MySpace discriminatory that is (I can't stand FaceBook to be honest, it just confuses me to the point of not caring to bother learning how to use it, heh! So that said I guess I'd be discriminatory to FaceBook ... But Proboards and Live Journal are better than both!) Ah well. Moving along. I'll hang 'round til the end as well, just for the hell of it. I started watching this season so I guess I might as well watch it all the way through *shrug*

Sorry Raven, didn't mean to offend you hahahahah. I shall join your board, TCG and I joined the Prisoner Group on Facebook, I like the groups on there and the sharing of photos and clips etc. I found this years idol a little hard to take and when you choose someone to vote for, and they go you lose any motivation for it. I so wanted him in the final two, so am spitting the dummy, 4213 style. . ciao bellas

LOL I totally understand. After Jacob left I just thought... "MEH" And now that Ben's gone too ... again with the "meh!" Matt's still there though so that's something I guess And I do like Carl - he might be a bit of a "one trick pony" with his swinglurve but hey I love it too Hehe a Prisoner Group, that's pretty cool. I joined one for TLC but yeah, I'm not as into FaceBook really.

Marty, Carl, Daniel - at least one of these three is making it into the final four.
How ridiculous.
