I'm finding it hard to get a true insight into the finalist's minds/personalities this time without Inside Idol, hmm. Oh well. Hah much agreement here. I was hoping he'd be in the bottom 3 - should have been there in place of Tarasai based on vocal talent anyway. Oh well. Just glad to see my faves still there with a chance Next week should be interesting.

I think the acoustic show was good. I enjoyed it.
Ben was great as ever, Natalie shone and I enjoyed Carl too.
Matt alas sang a song too close to my heart so couldn't be objective, Marty and Jacob were boring to me and Mark wasn't half bad really. Tarisai I find dull.
But all in all interesting night.

4213 pretty much says it all for me. Except I think Carl has a weak voice even though I like his style.
Tarasai killed any emotion in that song. She's a good technician and that's about it.
Bottom three - Tarasai, Marty and Jacob.

Mark's gone. Oh well. I'd have kept him in for a week or two more, but that's life. He's fairly inoffensive. Truth be told, Marty's raised himself to inoffensive in my book these days. He can join Carl and Jacob in the ranks of people that can go at any time and I won't mind.
I'll be glad to see Tarisai go, but undoubtedly part of the fun will be having her stick around and may having someone to hate. Preferably she can come around fifth place.

I agree that's if fun to have someone to hate. Tarasai's personality doesn't seem to be looked on favourably by the majority pf posters on other forums. So it would be good to keep her around for a bit longer. Every week in the bottom three would be good. It was fun watching last week.

Aaw byebye Jacob... That's kind of sad because he was one of my favourites - but it's hard to like so many of 'em and see three of them in the bottom lot, bloody hell Aah well. Hopefully he'll be picked up by someone out there in the music biz.

A very satisfying bottom three, although Marty should have been amongst them.
Ben and Natalie continue to be my favourites. Natalie's song choice was a bit odd. She looked like she was saying no to a second helping of dessert. It suited her voice though and I nonethess enjoyed her perfomance.
I wish the judges would get off Ben's back re. his sexuality/androgeny. As well as being no one's business, the poor kid is only seventeen. They didn't do this to Anthony, when as it turns out they would have had good reason to.

I only saw the 2nd part (was watching Kath & Kim) so I missed Ben's performance. I always seem to actually, so I never hear what the judges say firsthand. Anyway..... I'm predicting a Matt v. Tarisai Grand Final, heh. (Edit) www.australianidol.com.au/jacob-butler-profile.htmlThat just made me like him even more Now I really do hope he'll get a good record deal and release some music, I'd definitely buy it. Boosh Fans gotta stick together after all

Matt. That's all. He has to win.
LET IT BE is my number one favourite song ever, but as Dicko or Kyle said, even Paul McCartney didn't give it justice.
I thought Jon Stevens (Noiseworks) gave it the best in history - ever! Sorry about Jacob.
But Matt is still my favourite.
The girls are like dime a dozen. Boring.

Anyway..... I'm predicting a Matt v. Tarisai Grand Final, heh. No way. Her being too much of an irritating bitch will work against her - she'll be the "I'm so surprised, she was sure to win" fifth place getter. I think Matt/Ben is more likely. And I think whoever Matt's against in the final two, unless it's Tarisai, will win.

Well I didn't say I wanted that as a final two, heh... I'm just getting a feeling that it may very well turn out that way.
But hell it could end up being Matt and Ben, and if so that would be really good to see given how young they are.

Firstly, Matt has as good as won it.
His song choice is brilliant and he really can deliver a song and has the popular vote.
For me Ben is still my favourite. He has such a lovely quality to his voice and I like his personality very much. I think he can do well and the judges are idiots and lack so much sophistication in their dealings with him. I thought his comment to Kyle was hilarious.
I generally didn't like his wonderwall i'm afraid, and felt Matt was the only real good one on the night. Natalie I also like a lot. I do think she has a touchdown in her somewhere if she just chooses the right song.

That was truly terrible. Dare I say it, I think this lot could be worse than series 3.
It's not really worth elaborating on. I feel for Dicko. The first year he left, the talent was so-so. The second year was intriguing for its mix of contestants and had Dicko yearning to be back in the thick of it. And this year, when he's had to eat humble pie to get back in and put up with snide remarks from Mark Holden, it stinks again.
I think Ben will win it. The favourite hasn't won Idol so far, at least from this stage of the competition. Ben just needs to pull it all together from hereon. It's far better to shine at the end of the competition.

I agree, I think this lot is ... unfortunately not that good at all. I'm actually agreeing with Mark's impatience about it all as well. Last night was just so "meh" and boring. I think also too I was a bit uninterested due to Jacob's exit last week (I guess he was my favourite one after all - sorry Matt ) I'm expecting a bottom 3 of Marty, Daniel and Carl, with hopefully Marty being the one to go.
