with my hair straightener. She's so hot and I feel smooth and silky when she works her way through my hair. Never leave me. Sorry it's late, I'm alone, and there really is no gossip is there.

Yeah baby, Those ceramic ones are NASTY. Go for one of them, they never let you down * nudge nudge * I went for Vidal, she's a saucy little number, with two beautiful plates, golden and shiny. Phwoar. Those metal ones will love you and leave you flat, but also they leave you high and dry First one aint bad, but the latter is a frizz you don't wanna know about girlfriend.

I debated about it for a good 12 months because the one I wanted (that my hairdresser uses) was $299! A lot when your hair is already straight and you just want the look. However after borrowing a reluctant friends to trial it out I bought oneand have never looked back. It's a GHD one- a new religion in hair. It heats to 210 degrees in 7 sec and has microchip technology to keep it at the same temperature. It really is fabulous if you can affort it. Of course it has ceramic plates- a must to seal the moisture in. I did a friend's REALLY curly hair and it went dead straight. Not only that because it is used in salons it has a really long cord and is very sturdy. Peter, my hairdresser said he dropped one of his on tiles and it was fine. Not sure if I should worry about someone so clumsy doing my hair. Actually i think they do a model especially for afro hair if that's what you've got! I saw it in the brochure. They are available from good hairdressers and online. Incidentally I think it's the one they big brother stylists used when every single girl left the house. btw- can you put these interesting discussions in the general section or at least alert me to them because i rarely venture down here.

sorry girls but I'm just a girl who loves to curl.
Can't live without my defuser, super hold mouse. and curling wand. Love getting that wind blow hair look - you know like you've driven with the top down on your car.
All I can say is EFFIE is my hero and BIG hair is in.

Y'know I've tried the hair straightening gels and they just don't cut the mustard. Maybe it's time I invested in the real thing.

Absolutely. GHD do an iron oil as well (ironically it uses a unique "oil- free" formula). They are a big investment but whenever I iron mine ppl think i've had it done and it's normally pretty straight anyway.

D,
You can now get bright pink GHD straighteners- exactly the same as the other ones, but bright pink. Some of the money also goes to breast cancer research. So its pretty and for a good cause!
I looked it up on the GHD website in London and its pretty expensive. Wonder if my little sis who is in London, will buy me one for a present..... ;D

My sisters and all their mates have hair straighteners at the moment. It's the thing of now.
