I think a lot of people are missing something here. I think Casey is great but I also think it was unfair that the judges picked Courtney up on his weight but not Casey. What goes for one should go for the rest too.
I also agree that she doesn't smile much or anything. Yeah maybe its nerves or something and she's only 16 but it can put some people off. And finally I have heard people on the radio saying that they are big too and they think that Caseys great. Thats wrong - vote for her cos she's got a great voice not cos she's like you. If you are short and italian does that mean you have to vote for Anthony? No vote for the best voice/all round idol.Otherwise if you are Italian and big you are going to have a problem knowing who to pick!

I think a lot of people are missing something here. I think Casey is great but I also think it was unfair that the judges picked Courtney up on his weight but not Casey. What goes for one should go for the rest too. I think the difference between the two is that Casey is just 16. Courtney is pretty much a grown man (physically, I question many apparent "grown men's" mentality). I believe at 16 your body is still getting used to the change in hormones etc. etc. Finally at the sweet ol' age of 20, I finally feel in total control of my body (well...99.9'% of the time ). I think Casey is beautiful and have never seen her 'look sour' Personally, I think only the conceited would get so hung up on other people's appearance. Honestly...and people wonder why young people develop eating disorders and commit suicide. I would much rather watch a 'bigger girl' who is comfortable in her own skin, then a self-conscious gorgeous skinny girl anyday! And regarding the "I'm a big girl too" callers to the radio, good on 'em! Like all those who are voting and supporting Casey, it's nice to see that voters aren't fixated on just looks. No doubt Anthony deserves to be in the 'Final Two' but so does Casey!

Look folks, I totally agree with lynn on this... Casey is totally getting the "I look like you, I feel for you" vote. This is f***ing ridiculous...wtf do you see in her voice....emotion??? i haven't felt one bit of emotional power in her voice, it expresses nothing. Her half-assed attempt at showing anger through that song just didn't do anything. She's having a go....thats great...but she is getting way too much applause for nothing special. I'm not a huge fan of Anthony either, but he puts alot more emotion and power into his music than she does...and get over the plastic boy band shit..he looks 1000x better than casey. Its fine to lift people up, but for christ's sake, stop the excessive talent gob-smacked shit "oh.....that totally blew my mind, touchdown material" , honestly next time someone makes a fuss about something that is mediocre i'm gonna snap.
And i expect all the wannabe morale comments from you morons like "well that's just your opinion" ....no shit sherlock...and "you're just jealous, or stupid.. and your comments are this and that....bla bla f***ing bla..."

Hey! I think you should make friends with Alice. We could call you the 'Stew sisters' and you could be poster girls for Mylanta. (sorry Alice.. couldn't resist! ;D)

If some believe that Casey barely has any emotion in her songs, where does that leave Anthony? In the middle of the emotional equivalent of the Sahara?
He's got a great voice, he can sing, but apart from the Prayer, I don't think he's understanding what he's singing. Bridge over Troubled Waters was like a shouting contest to me, power yes, emotion zilch.

I don't believe you have to show some great emotion everytime you sing - I'm amazed at anyone who has the gift of singing.
Personally, I was touched when Anthony sang that song to his mum on the judge - free night (there should be more of those!)
Technical ability, power and range are just as impressive as emotion

I don't think Casey is getting sympathy at all. She's just who's enjoying the ride, just like Shannon & Guy did last year. She had no controversy this series, unlike the others who were plagued by it, and that's pulled her through to the final 2 (that and some great singing)
glad she's made it to the finals, she's so wide eyed, its great to see someone appreciate and be so humble about it all.

I believe that people who talk about others in the way that some of you have may have your own issues to worry about and should stop trying to cut down those who are out there giving it a go and who are obviously happy with themselves. In my opinon Casey is the most gifted singer on the show and that has nothing to do with her weight. People are always complaining that there are too many skinny people on the covers of mags and so forth, but when we finally get someone who may be not what the media wants to advertise we get people saying that they are only succeding because of their weight, I think that is horrible! Casey is a beautiful young woman and she will grow into an Idol we can all hope to be!

if you are Italian and big you are going to have a problem knowing who to pick! Haha, that's cute. I think Casey is a beautiful singer, & she's pretty (she has gorgeous eyes) but there's no denying that she should lose some weight, purely from a medical perspective. It's very unhealthy to be so obese & she's at risk of many diseases. And if she lost a bit of weight, she would be all the more attractive. As for the voting, everyone votes for different reasons. Some people vote for Anthony because they think he's good-looking. And some people vote for Casey because they're deliberately not voting for the stereotypically good-looking one. There's some shallowness in all the voting, really.

I am not suprised that you have cats lynn, as from the complete and utter vicious diatribe that spurts from your mouth i cant imagine you having friends! you need to remember the good old days, when you were 16, the days when your mum would put that pork chop around your neck and the neighbourhood dogs would all play with you? ahh the good old days. You are a nasty old ( insert filth ) of a thing. How lame to come into a forum in order to speak so ill of a 16 year old trying her best. Time for a trip to the butcher lynn.

So Sean people who have cats don't have friends is that right? What about people who have dogs?
Remember when I was 16 no of course not. That is way too far back , isn't it obvious that I am just a lonely bitter and twisted old hag?
Of course I never had friends. People can't handle those who tell the truth can they? They would rather be with brainless, simpering idiots like yourself who always tell them what they want to hear.In fact I'm so mean its hard to stop the cats running away.
In the real world as far as I am able to recall things don't work like that. People aren't always nice and they have to face facts. Anyone who puts themselves in the public eye should also be prepared for all the comments and criticism as there will be no shortage of those. If they can't handle the negative aspects as well as the positive ones then they shouldn't be there.
Have you thought about applying for a job with the thought police? I am sure you are more than qualified . In fact you need a title , how about King Sean of the politically correct? I imagine when you are crowned your first task will be to revoke freedom of the press.
In fact you have convinced me of the error of my ways. I shall repent before its too late. Casey is gorgeous and amazing. She has such style, charisma and personality.
Its a pity that when she sings either a) she forgets her words or b) she is so quiet that she is overpowered by the music.
except of course for c) which is when she shouts and for some insane reason that is when everyone goes wild.

i think it is appalling that you talk about casey this way. you pick on the fact that she has a weight problem and say she is not a very good role model, you are pretty much saying that she is not a worthy person because she is fat! casey is an outstanding singer who has a confidence about her that makes her glow and makes her the person she is. so what shes fat but she is obviously comfortable with the way she is so why not let her be. i am guessing that anthony fits your stereotype and that of many 12 and 14yr olds and that is the only reason he will win! there are lots of little girlies out there who think he is 'adorable' and will vote based on that, how is that fair?

Casey is where she is because of her ability to interpret songs - (Eleanor Rigby excepted of course) Good luck to her and for the future as well.
