What can I say about Anthony that hasn't already been said?
Dicko was right this week... fair enough he put his own stamp on a Beatles song. But....
The week before he proved how great his voice is and how he can project emotional content through a song... that's how you really connect with an audience. That's what he needs to do consistently, to win.
Just one thing that has been bugging me for weeks though...
I wish he'd stop tapping his mike....... ahhhhhhhhh! it is infuriating and on TV a major distraction.
Stop it Anthony!

I don't think he even realises he's tapping the mic when he's doing it. Kinda like you can bite your nails and then wonder why they aren't growing. Only hypnosis can save him! If he concentrates on not tapping he won't be concentrating on the important stuff. Get over it. It's trivial! Anthony Hypnosis is the answer. Get some when you win.

Ever heard of double-sided tape? I thought exactly that Duh. Double sided tape can be put to great use indeed. I think he should give it a go. I find this habit very distracting.

I think it's just a bad habit. The judges have only commented on it once but I think he really needs to address it.
Oh! How're things today Duh. I actually work in stationery.

Not too bad, starbright. Have to go out in a few minutes on an errand. Still moody over the election outcome. Just remembered that the Free Trade Agreement with the US hasn't been signed yet, and last night the news featured the pharmaceutical issue again. The US is taking advantage of the Liberal Party's win to change Labor's excellent amendment to the Agreement. If that's the case, our excellent Pharmacentical Benefit Scheme is going to be eroded. O I should stop whingeing and be positive. Hopefully Howard has a shred of conscience left between his eye brows.

Hopefully Howard has a shred of conscience left between his eye brows. Much as I'd like to believe it I don't think there's any chance. Sigh.....

Anthony's mind seems to be somewhere else when he sings. yeah, he doesn't show much emotion when he sings. I don't feel it.

Anthony's tapping of the microphone doesn't annoy me actually. But it seems like I'm alone in my opinion there. I think he's got a great voice and I know I'll always remember 'The Prayer' but some of his other performances have lost my attention a bit. Mainly because his style of music doesn't really grab me. Sorry guys I'm afraid I'm not really a pop-loving chick!

I was annoyed with the mike tapping last week, but only because it was brought to my attention last year - Paulini, Bek and Cosima used to do it too....and it annoyed the living hell outta me.

Ricki-Lee actually did it quite a bit on her Sunday night performance as well. Seems to be quite a habit!

This is some trivial crap I tell you all! How often do you actually see the singers you love to listen to? You LISTEN to them! If you hate his habits so much close your eyes and just LISTEN maybe you'll see what a great voice he has! If he puts out a CD you'll be listening not watching. Man the amount of times I've listened to Guy since Idol ended is countless, the amount of times I've actually seen him singing is minimal! GET over the trivial crap people. It's about finding a decent singer not a performing monkey that does everything perfectly at your command!
