Men like to brood, it's how they process. If you play with the unpredictable ones, know they are 'unpredictable'. I don't think you are equipped for him Tee. You've bitten off more than you can chew.

I found it in HMV, JB and Sanity, but apparently stores are selling out quickly. It doesn't help that for some reason it gets stuck in Dance and on the New releases, but not in the general area. Its under Spook
Heard the track faster on JJJ last night and it is getting some awesome reviews in the street press of all places. Yep very Portishead and lamb. Don't expect your traditional R&B / Pop moaning and warbling.

But I still didn't see it on any "new release" shelf either. I'll have another look this weekend, I'll be going to a different shopping centre so maybe I'll have more luck...

I'll give you a three strikes or you're blocked option next time. It's unlike me not to tell someone how I feel at the time. As for Chanel's band I was imagining more Massive Attack.

99 said: Those are the demo samples on the Statler and Waldorf site (now Spook) 99 And track you made reference to is a skeleton of "Running Away" track (which is good by the way) Running Away at the end sounds very similar to Björk's "All is full of love" with the vocal echoes and rising synth harmonics btw. It has lots of synth layers and trip hop beats on the album. Chanel and Dan do dual voices on "Lullaby" it's a good melodic track, Statler and Waldorf do great job as do Dan and Chanel with the song writing. My fav is the track is "Fall". Dreamy melodic synth lines and a floating array of beats, it sounds better than I word it. I got my copy of "The Dusk Sessions" from JBfi (ask them to order it in, if not in stock) It is worth it. It's by Dan and Channers its good

Thanks for that little review... I still couldn't find it in the stores I checked out, so I might just have to ask about it - not at JB though, experiences with asking them to "order things in" hasn't been the best, heh...

Thanks stormloss! I haven't seen it in Perth yet - will probably have to try one of the bigger stores.

Just bought this today. First impressions: moody and atmospheric - yep, very Portishead-y.I would have liked more variety. Chanel has a lovely voice but it's kept quite subdued throughout the whole album. She uses it in a lovely way in"Glorious" and yes, "Fall" is a good track. Chanel and Daniel sing in duet on "Lullaby" which is a cover of a song by The Cure. Their voices do sound good together but on this track it's too subdued - there isn't enough sinister menace for my liking. "Cause and Effect" is a good track to finish off with.
On the whole I would have liked more variety and a bit more life in it.
