New Podcast out. Doesnt require you to hear it before tonights show.
Idol Sparks - count down to the final 100 workshops
A hilarious and informative Podcast that is a must hear to prepare yourself for the season ahead.
Its time for a debrief. We are the peoples Podcast so it is time to let your comments and emails out to dry.
We discuss other similar shows out there and our new studio audience is entranced.
Ganesha's chihuahua barks annoyingly in the background while he discusses music currently being signed up on major labels.
And don't worry, we bag Kyle again. ;D

Good to hear feedback in return for feedback it can only help your enterprise exponentially and I urge others too either PM or email the guys.
Any sort of chat about the show or contestants/ judges will do to get your handle out there into radioland and I am sure the boys will be fair to all of us.
Re American Idol and 4213's submission re the free 2 hours and then shut up shop,
Some of you will vaguely remember that I was in the audience for the Fantasia Barrino year and briefly captured on camera,
I did ask about the free two hours and one wag said the huge advertising paid the bill and the American State Laws and land line restrictions vary to the degree that cohesion was difficult albeit unnecessary.
Anyone who has been to the US would know that the states vary so much it is like visiting a different country ie New Mexico versus Maine.
Re the new voting system this year on Au idol I heard it was a two way system of some sort and similar to Big Brother.
It wouldn't therefore surprise me if it was the same as Big Brother and create extra income for the money loving CH 10.

Last night was interesting, much to talk about. The Sunday night podcast will be available today. I even sing (yodel) on it.
Did anyone realise how strict they are regarding copyright. Did you know that not only can we not play any of the songs they or original artists sing, we cannot even read out the bloody lyrics! Its so ridiculous. I have had to go through my own stuff to find the theme song and stuff to play through the season. So please refrain from humming my theme tune or you owe me 30 cents.

Latest Podcast-
Funny moments- Ganesha's grief at missing the "It takes two final"
"And when I say jazz ballet I mean pole dancing- funny even without the laugh track.
"lovely lady called 4213" - yes voting is free in the states but you can't use automated diallers".
"call me crazy but a frontal lobe wouldn't hurt either".
"pop stars was essentially a documentary" (and was it the first show of this genre or just the first shown here).
As for Kyle- give him some credit he has done very well for himself but his expertise is remarkably limited to bands that someone has told him are hip etc This morning on the radio I heard him bagging someone discovered under the Triple J unearthed comp (apparently the muso was bagging one of the idols for being discovered on a TV show- even though to be fair there are some parrallels with idol themselves) and he actually said "no one listens to triple J" and it is a waste of money for the ABC- surely ppl deserve a viable alternative to top 10.
Actually you two are quite entertaining - I liked the distance comment as well. Like the sound effects too.
Incidentally it does seem hippocritical to totally bag the concept of voting but still go to the effort of producing a podcast! Ultimately as Kram said it is a reality TV show not a music finding mission. In the idealistic world it would be both but let's not live in fairy land on the fluffy white clouds. It's kind of like gambling- you vote for the feeling it gives you to support your favourite idol and collectively it does make a difference as to who gets through. Perhaps the way to make the artists more sustainable is to give them more than a week to produce their album so it is actually really good (but again that's fairy land because ppl are motivated to buy them only for a certain time) or to get rid of the genre nights altogether and have them sing the kind of music they will eventually be producing. I loved Guy in the show but have to be honest don't really love his albums...

Idol Sparks - The Jorge Bec tribute edition of Sunday's show available now.
Tonight saw the judges trim some fat off the edges after choosing too many crap singers, they cut the number down to only 100 crap singers instead. Perhaps their eyes were bigger than their ears!
We revel in the Karmic retribution of Jorge Bek as Ganesha does a brilliant impersonation, worthy of an Oscar.
Ummm, where's the format change guys?
Kram swears, then refers to John Foreman as the Anti-Kyle, then fly's in the face of copyright. No we wont tell you what!
Who stood out tonight? It's a short list. Although we liked Guy Mutton who showed his vocal chops.
Kram does not like Ganesha's audition and sends him home

I just love taking the piss out of people who refer to themselves in the third person. And I don't think I've heard someone seriously call somebody else a twit in years.

Oh the Jorge thing was just meat and drink for them. I truly hope these young hopefuls realise they may be chosen for freakness and tv, not for being the idol. Jorge was such a find for them and for us. Great impression Neshy. Whenever I meet a tool, I find there is a whole new tier of tooldom I've yet to explore. We are being so manipulated, and I find that quite sexy personally. If you can do it to me, then respect to you.
I think you overdid the sound effects a bit. Canned laughter is awful, but loved the crickets. I understand you need to play around to know what works and what doesn't. Lay off the sounds, keep it subtle. A slight shoulder showing is better than a boob tube, not many can carry that off.

Yes well Ganesha, it does make you appear more funny than you actually are I guess, just like all those American sitcoms. I appreciate your tongue in cheekiness.

I did like the sound effects a lot. Just not the canned laughter, oh and Ganesha's recorder playing. I hate the recorder, though play it currently as my daughter has to learn it as part of schooling. So glad middle child gave up the violin and the eldest, the trumpet. These are beautiful instruments when played well, but torture for parents having to endure the early stages.
Oh I hadn't even noticed the signature bits. Well done.
Still Kram and Ganesha good for you guys. I look forward to them. You are getting into your stride.
